Above all, spell the name right
Lauren Bossers, social media and PR manager at Kinaxis, valued this nugget: No matter what you're writing, spell the person's name correctly. She writes as one whose name has been misspelled in bylines, emails, and articles. (She should meet my wife, whose name was misspelled in a byline in The Wall Street Journal.)
"Your name really represents who you are, and if someone hasn't paid enough attention to get that correct, you have to wonder: What else have they neglected?" she says.
